No, no. I mean, I didn't think about it because when I first met him, I wasn't that focused on documentaries. I was probably just getting started on, and which was my second doc project. So I wasn't really looking for subjects. However, I kept bumping into José and his stories are fantastic. He's just so charismatic, he's funny.
Look, what's interesting to me, and this all sort of began to reveal itself through interviews, but also looking back and understanding José’s journey, he didn't want it to be a film about him. But I realized as kind of the alpha volunteer in a movie that to me, sort of first and foremost, was about volunteerism and the possibility of what could be achieved through it.
Yeah. Well, I mean, look, the big thing is he's there to do that job. So he never, ever wanted his cameras, our cameras, anybody's cameras to suddenly ask him to do something again. Or, "Could you hold up for a second while we get our cameras ready, because we really want to get a shot of the food being delivered." And so that was an understanding, but our cameras did pick up on that rhythm.
