There’s a lot included in the price of a break
Family holidays are pricey, and once you’ve paid for it all, stocked up on all the necessary extra bits and bobs, rammed the car full and driven for hours, the last thing you want to do is keep shelling out for costly activities. That’s why on my recent term-time break to Butlin’s in Skegness, I kept an eye out for the activities you can take part in with your kids that aren’t going to cost you any extra money.
at Butlin’s, and if you’ve added a dining package too, you will be ready for a fun-packed holiday without the need to open your wallet again. Here is my pick of free activities I tried while on resort with my two boys, aged ten and 6. Some of these we booked, others we stumbled across while walking around the resort. This is the obvious one, and a big reason people go to Butlin’s. The pool is included in the price of your stay and it’s brilliant. Turn up any time during opening hours and stay as long as you want. The flumes and rapids are great fun and little kids can go on some of them too.
