The cast of TheAcolyte gives new insight into their characters, more Jedi, bigger action, and exploring a new era with the end of the HighRepublic. SquidGame Lee Jung Jae in particular shares why this StarWars project was right for him:
The Acolyte will be set in a new Star Wars era, delving into the end of the High Republic, a prosperous era that has been explored through comics and novels thus far. The first footage of The Acolyte debuted at Star Wars Celebration and showed a ton of Jedi. The series is expected to give new insight into the Force, exploring the Dark Side in a way Star Wars never has before.
The Cast On The Acolyte Screen Rant: I'm so excited about The Acolyte. That trailer looked fantastic! What's been the most exciting part about joining the Star Wars universe? Amandla Stenberg: Yeah, for sure. A lot of my research was based on the live action, but because of the fact that we're in the High Republic era, which hasn't been portrayed before in live-action, that meant diving into a whole other part of the canon and trying to understand what fans wanted from this particular part of the canon. Manny Jacinto: I can't drop any names or anything, but he's just a dude, man. He's a guy.
With Chewbacca, you were going off somebody else's performance. How does this character differ from Chewbacca? I think that specifically Leslye Headland, because she's a fan as well, has really risen to that to those calls and invested into our show. Walking onto that as an actor is one of the coolest pinnacles that you can be a part of. So much is actually there. I think that's gonna be the most exciting.
