Summary Qimir/the Stranger's helmet in The Acolyte may have a connection to a formidable Sith Lord, which could have grave implications for Osha's Star Wars future. The Acolyte episode 5 revealed that it was Mae's accomplice, Qimir, who was really the man behind the mask. Although several hints had already been dropped regarding his identity, his transformation was nevertheless shocking, as he went from a seemingly harmless sidekick to a cruel killer.
Related The Acolyte's Sith Lord Helmet Explained The Sith Lord of The Acolyte wore a very unique helmet, but it wasn't just a cool mask, it also helped him in battle in a few surprising ways. One specific way a person could be corrupted by the mask was if they were left alone with it in an enclosed space, although in Darth Momin's case the mask did so with its glowing red eyes. Notably, this seems to be precisely what happened to Osha. Even without the glowing eyes, Osha is left alone with Qimir's mask, and she seems oddly drawn to it. However, Momin's mask could also fully possess and control someone once they'd worn it.
I believe that The Acolyte is going to take this Darth Momin connection one step further, and it would make this plot line so much better. Even if Darth Momin is never named, it seems plausible that Qimir's helmet similarly drew Osha in and corrupted her. After all, she was left alone with the mask, and she was carefully eyeing it before walking over to it and putting it on. Now that she has put it on, I believe The Acolyte will reveal her to be fully possessed.
