For the past five seasons, we have been canvassing executives, scouts and analysts to identify the best starting pitchers in baseball, the aces. The curriculum has shifted in recent years as teams ask less of starters in an attempt to optimize, but certain standards remain. An ace showed up in October after guiding his team through September.
