If you're headed down to the Gulf Coast this spring break, here's a snapshot of the dining scene in Corpus Christi, straight from the notebooks of Nueces County health inspectors.

It's one thing to see ants crawling past your food in a restaurant. It's a whole other kettle of fish to see ant poison near your food.

And yet that's just one example of some of the health code violations that Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District noted during one of theirThat's not to say that Corpus Christi's restaurant scene is something you should avoid if you're heading down there for the break. Just like, more than 99 percent of the area's restaurants notched a score of 80 or higher over the past year.

But we compiled every restaurant inspection in the area and distilled it down to the the worst of the worst. Below you will find that the health district caught instances of raw meat being store above bread, cockroach infestations, food stored on the floor and more.
