Las Vegas Raiders offensive lineman Thayer Munford Jr. looks like the favorite to be the starter at right tackle in 2024.
There was lots of outside noise throughout the offseason that the Raiders needed to upgrade heavily at right tackle ahead of the 2024 season. It’s possible Glaze could unseat Munford with an impressive offseason, but as of now, it appears the starting right tackle job is Munford’s to lose.It starts by improving as a pass blocker. The Raiders are going to start Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew II at quarterback this season, so Munford’s job as a blocker becomes extra important. Neither O’Connell nor Minshew are players known for extending plays with their legs, so they will both need clean pockets.
