That hand-me-down at a Texas Goodwill was Roman artwork looted after WWII. Now it's going home.

The first-century sculpture had been on display at the San Antonio Museum of Art. “I’ll miss his frowny face in the gallery.”

The last day to see the 2,000-year-old Roman bust at thewill be May 21. The sculpture, which made international headlines, was on loan from Germany and on display in the museum’s Roman Landscapes exhibit for the last year.

Austin antiques dealer Laura Young discovered the 52-pound sculpture on the floor of a Goodwill store in northwest Austin. She purchased it for $34.99 and took it home. The piece was a marble Julio-Claudian-era bust and dates from the late first century B.C. to the early first century A.D. It disappeared from Germany following World War II.
