An ABC News Breakfast host has taken to Twitter to clear up confusion over his future at the public broadcaster, less than a week after Stan Grant announced his departure as Q+A host.
"I will be back on News Breakfast in late June. Look forward to seeing you then!"
The breakfast TV jumble comes after Q+A host Stan Grant announced his departure from the flagship program claiming he had no support from the public broadcaster following a torrent of online racial abuse over the ABC's coverage of the King's coronation. "It hasn't just been weeks and months, it's been years that Stan's been copping this. Racism is a scourge," Rowland said on Tuesday.
Grant's announcement has led to protests from his colleagues outside ABC's headquarters, Parliament House at Canberra and its Melbourne's offices over how the executives did not stand up for Grant.

Stan Grant ‘shouldn’t have been put on’ the ABC coronation special panelFormer ABC host Stan Grant “shouldn’t have been put on” the ABC coronation special panel after the amount of backlash he received, says Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand. “He could have had a special show delving into the history of the British Empire and all the terrible things they’ve done, all the terrible things the monarchy’s done,” he told Sky News host Sharri Markson. “The idea that you would do that when you’ve got a whole bunch of people who are just tuning in because they quite like the monarchy, or at least they’re interested in it and wanted to see the coronation.”
