On Friday, the parliament is scheduled to hold a vote on Paetongtarn's election as Thailand's prime minister. If voted into the position, Paetongtarn would become the country's second female prime minister and the third leader from the Shinawatra family.Paetongtarn's father was previously the first politician in Thailand to win a majority of seats in Parliament, and his popularity and support played a part in his daughter's election.
