The UK government has warned: "Passengers who have travelled from or transited the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America in the 14 days prior to their arrival in Thailand: Thai authorities have screening measures in place.
They state: "Travellers arriving from the countries with ongoing local transmission are required to be under observation in order to ensure self-monitoring for no less than 14 days until the end of the infectious period or the reason for suspicion. Airports including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi will be thermal screening for signs of the disease and tourists will also be given health advice on arrival.
Flights from the UK continue to operate, although other airlines including El Al, Thai Airways and Jetstar reducing flightsThe only time that tour operators are required to give a refund on holiday packages is if the Foreign Office changes its travel advice for a region and turns it into a no-go area, which they have not done in this case.
