BANGKOK: Hotels in the popular Thai beach provinces of Phuket and Chonburi have been ordered to close starting on Saturday, in the country's latest effort to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

BANGKOK: Hotels in the popular Thai beach provinces of Phuket and Chonburi have been ordered to close starting on Saturday , in the country's latest effort to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

The hotels must stop accepting new guests but can remain open until existing guests complete their stays, provided that each hotel submits the names and number of guests to their district offices. Friday is the start of a nationwide daily curfew between 10 pm and 4 am , announced the previous day by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
