SERDANG: Police have arrested a Thai woman in connection with the death of an infant boy placed in her care.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said they were alerted by a medical officer from the Serdang Hospital who received the case there on Wednesday .
"The baby was unconscious when he was brought in. They administered respiratory aid but failed to revive the infant," he said when contacted on Thursday . He said investigations revealed the father had picked up the infant from the house of the babysitter at Taman Sri Indah and rushed to the hospital after being alerted around 4.30pm that the boy was in a weak state."Both parents were working and have known the babysitter for some time," he said adding that the infant was fine when he was sent to the babysitter's house at around 8am.
