A Dallas woman was arrested and accused of nearly running over 2 police officers in Gunnison after claiming she was trying to get away from being forced into sex trafficking.
GUNNISON — A Dallas woman was arrested and accused of nearly running over two police officers after claiming she was trying to get away from being forced into sex trafficking.
When an officer arrived and approached the car, the two occupants were "sleeping in the fully reclined front seats of the car with the car running and towels draped over their faces," the affidavit states. "I banged loudly on the driver's window with the palm of my hand and the woman in the driver's seat sat straight up and turned toward me. She immediately laid back down and pretended to be asleep.
The officers pursued the fleeing vehicle on U.S. 89 and were able to stop it a short time later and took the two women into custody at gunpoint, according to the affidavit.
