They run the ball at a significantly frequent rate while Texas Tech relents the fewest yards after contact in college football. No matter how BYU structures its boxes, Tech is the No. 15 defense against light boxes and No. 1 against stacked in yards per carry allowed. Freshman Bear Bachmeier has strung together a noteworthy campaign. I don’t think he is equipped to unlock this matchup, however. In the first matchup, he found success almost exclusively through screens while going 12-for-26 on passes beyond the line of scrimmage.
