A powerful storm developed in west Texas on Monday and has approached major urban areas.
A tornado touched down in Jacksboro, which is northwest of Fort Worth, hitting the local high school and damaging homes. Tornado warnings and watches, and severe thunderstorm warnings, are in effect through much of the eastern half of the Lone Star State. The storm reaches from Oklahoma and North Texas to San Antonio and eastward to the Brazos Valley, which is just north of Houston.A powerful storm that has already produced tornadoes is approaching major Texas cities on Monday, March 21, 2022.
