The Bobcats announced 17 total signees Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period with 15 coming directly from Texas high schools.

After Texas State coach GJ Kinne focused primarily on transfer portal prospects with collegiate experience in his first two recruiting classes, he opted to use a younger strategy for his third installment. A newly-inked contract extension which added three years and doubled Kinne’s average annual salary to $2 million played a factor in Texas State ’s youth movement.
