BREAKING The man accused of shooting and killing five of his neighbors, including a 3rd grader, last week in Texas after he was asked to stop shooting his gun has been arrested, according to sources.

The last time the 38-year-old suspect was deported was in 2016, and his current immigration status is still unclear. The man accused of shooting and killing five of his neighbors, including a 3rd grader, last week in Texas after he was asked to stop shooting his gun has been arrested, according to sources. The news of Francisco Oropesa's capture comes after a four-day intense manhunt that ended on Tuesday by multiple agencies that began in Cleveland, Texas on Saturday.

The 38-year-old was convicted of driving while intoxicated back in 2012 in Montgomery County and was sentenced to serve time in jail, records show. Many people who live in that same San Jacinto County neighborhood say that gunshots are pretty common, as people go out and shoot on their property. But none of them thought something like this would happen.

ABC News spoke with Jefrinson Josué Rivera, the longtime partner of Velasquez Alvarado. Josué Rivera said she was a lawful resident, calling Abbott "inhumane" for referring to the victims in that way.
