The Rangers brass also has some familiarity with him. He played for Bruce Bochy in San Francisco in 2019 and also was there when offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker was there.
OF Jake Bauers, Milwaukee: Also, a left-handed hitter, Bauers has a .736 OPS against right-handers this season. If finances are of a particular concern, he’d cost the least financially. He’s got about $450,000 remaining on his $1.35 million salary for 2024. He’s arbitration eligible for two more years, though, which might make the cost in terms of prospect capital higher.
. Arozarena is in the middle of a career-low season, but has heated up considerably over the last two months.
