The Rangers agreed to a deal to bring Sborz back for next season, but it appears he’ll miss a significant chunk of it.

The Rangers have agreed to a $1.1 million deal with Sborz to bring the righty back to the team next season, a person familiar with the contract talks confirmed to. But he’ll miss a significant chunk of it. There are also some performance bonuses tacked on to the deal., and upon the end of the Rangers’ 2024 season he visited Los Angeles-based shoulder specialist Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Sborz spent four different stints on the injured list during 2024, including during the final week of the season.
The Rangers also tendered contracts to all other players on the 40-man roster, including arbitration-eligible players Leody Taveras, Jonah Heim and Nathaniel Lowe. Friday was the deadline day to do so.
