RHP Skylar Hales, the fourth-round selection in 2023, has a funky delivery to go with upper 90s stuff. He finished the 2024 season with 20 innings at Double-A Frisco where he compiled a 2.10 ERA. If he makes progress with his slider, he’s going to be a back-end reliever. : The middle of the bullpen was often a sticky mess, but that’s the norm for most teams. There’s a reason guys end up in the middle of bullpens. More importantly, the Rangers took smart risks in free agency that made late leads the most secure they’ve been in years.
