He was honored with an on-field ceremony before Saturday’s game in which Hall of Fame infielder Paul Molitor — who is now a part of the Twins’ broadcast team — helped unveil Beltré's Hall of Fame plaque, which was brought in from Cooperstown, N.Y. Former Rangers teammate and friend Elvis Andrus was also in attendance, gave a speech and participated in a ceremonial pregame “double play turn” in lieu of a traditional first pitch.
