Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Jung could be “close” to making a rehab assignment after the All-Star break

“He feels great,” Bochy said. “We can start ramping him up. He wants to be ramped up now. If he’s comfortable with — we’ll call it the “big boy” bat — then we can get him going then.”, but threw a bullpen while the Rangers were in Anaheim and will throw 35-40 pitches on his minor league assignment. Bochy said that he doesn’t expect Dunning to need more than one rehab assignment before he can be activated.Shawn McFarland
