Jung, who is eight weeks removed from surgery, was given clearance by a specialist to begin swinging off a tee.

He swung a lighter-than-usual bat to hit some balls off a tee, but only after sitting through a two-hour weather-related wait on the tarmac after seeing Arizona-based hand specialist Dr. Don Sheridan.
Somewhat relieved and anxious to get started, he hopped a flight back to Dallas, but weather-related issues kept him waiting for a gate at DFW Airport after arriving. The good news from Sheridan: Small fractures at the top of the wrist that presented the bigger complications when the surgery took place have healed.The next milestone would come in another two weeks. Jung will get a CT scan to check the progress of the screws anchoring the bigger fracture together.
