The Texas Division of Emergency Management is preparing for cold temperatures across the state, including possible snow and ice in some parts.“As temperatures begin to drop below freezing and regions of Texas face snow, ice, and freezing rain, it is crucial that everyone remain weather-aware, checkAbbott said over 700 Texas Department of Transportation personnel began pre-treating roads, bridges and overpasses throughout the state over the weekend. More than 500,000 gallons of brine and 800 cubic yards of granular material have been used to prepare the roads for wintery weather. Abbott is urging all Texans to be weather-aware this week.
