Freezing temperatures are expected in parts of the Lone Starv State throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued two freeze watches for parts of Texas as bitter temperatures set in, as well as several other warnings for gusty weather throughout this week.Texans throughout the state can expect cold temperatures on Tuesday and throughout the evening, particularly in the south.'Much colder tonight across south Texas with areas from La Salle to Victoria flirting with freezing temperatures for lows,' the NWS in Corpus Christi said on Facebook.
Locals in both areas are urged to bring any pets indoors or make sure they have suitable warm, dry shelter for the cold weather, as well as taking steps now to protect vulnerable plants from the cold. Outdoor faucets should either be covered or set to drip slowly to avoid freezing pipes.Other types of advisories are also in place in parts of the Lone Star State.
