is a two-term member of the Texas House representing District 65 in Denton County. She is the owner of a Carrollton pet shop.
However, Beckley has taken shots at Collier, noting that of the two, she is the only one to have won an election. After the initial three-way primary, Beckley called on Collier to drop out of the race, telling theCollier has racked up a slew of endorsements and a significant fundraising advantage, raising and spending nearly $500,000 in the weeks leading up to election day. Beckley, on the other hand, raised about $12,500 and spent $18,000 during the same period.
