It comes a week after CenterPoint Energy promised to do better while being questioned by Texas Utility Regulators.
State lawmakers are expected to grill CenterPoint Energy executives about their response to Hurricane Beryl in a Texas Senate committee on Monday.
The committee will try to get to the bottom of why CenterPoint wasn't as prepared as they should have been, and will likely take a critical look at the plan CenterPoint has laid out to see if they think it's good enough.Energy expert Doug Lewin joined ABC13 to analyze CenterPoint's action plan and discuss other possibilities to keep the power on.The storm death toll is now up to 38 in our area. Officials say 14 of those people died specifically because of the power outage.
