Keep forcing these Longhorns to replace what everybody else believes is irreplaceable, and just watch them laugh.
Take away their breakout star of the NCAA Tournament – put a bone bruise on his foot and put that foot in a walking boot – and watch them shrug their shoulders and throw lobs to his backup for dunk after dunk. Keep trying to make things impossibly difficult for the program that for ages has made everything way too hard, and these guys keep responding by making it look historically easy.
“We have a lot of guys who aren’t scared of the moment,” said senior forward Timmy Allen, whose running, off-the-glass 3-pointer at the first-half buzzer typified a night – and a season, so far – in which the Longhorns were immune to anything resembling bad vibes.
