The Texas Supreme Court on Thursday denied a request by Attorney General Ken Paxton to block a new no-gun policy at the State Fair of Texas, which is set to begin Friday. In a scathing evening ruling denying Paxton’s emergency motion, the justices ruled that the state had not made the case for why the private nonprofit that operates the fair lacked the authority to institute the ban, which includes concealed firearms.
