Texas Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to activate state emergency response resources in anticipation of heavy rainfall and flash flooding in East and Southeast Texas this weekend. Swiftwater rescue boat squads and search and rescue teams are being mobilized to assist local officials.
