Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has activated some of the state's emergency resources due to potential severe weather.
With parts of Texas under the threat of severe weather , Governor Greg Abbott has activated the state's emergency response resources.What We Know: Parts of North, Central, East and Southeast Texas have seen or are expected to see strong to severe storms.The National Weather Service says the risks include large hail, damaging wind, flash flooding and even possible tornadoes.
Urban search and rescue teams for Texas A&M Task Force 1 and Texas Task Force 2 have been placed on standby.What They're Saying: "Texas is prepared to deploy all necessary resources to help local officials respond to severe weather threats," said Governor Abbott in a statement.
