The win moved Texas into a three-way tie for first place atop the Big 12 standings. No. 12 Iowa State downed No. 5 Kansas State late Tuesday night, leaving those three teams with identical 6-2 records with 10 conference games remaining. The Longhorns, who improved to 17-3 overall, scored their first six points off three offensive rebounds and contested putbacks from fifth-year forward Dylan Disu and freshman forward Dillon Mitchell. Fifth-year backup big Christian Bishop scrapped for a couple early buckets inside as Texas built a 17-6 lead.
