Brandon Herrera, the social media influencer known as ‘AK Guy’ who is running against U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, posted a video in 2022 joking about the Holocaust and using Nazi imagery. In the video, Herrera reviewed the MP-40 submachine gun, which was developed and used in Nazi Germany. He joked that the weapon was the “original ghetto blaster” and later put together a short video montage set to the marching song “Erika,” which was also popularized by Nazis.

At the end of the montage, another person in the video started to perform a Nazi salute, before Herrera jokingly stopped him and gestured at the camera. The video’s contents were first reported Monday by Jewish Insider.
