The Texas Biomed ical Research Institute has discovered a COVID -19 treatment that can protect from past, present and future strains, researchers say. The San Antonio research institution identified a monoclonal antibody that can neutralize the numerous COVID -19 variants, “as well as related viruses in animals that could pose a threat if they were to begin spreading in people,” according to a news release. The antibody, named SC27 , was recently described in the peer-reviewed Cell Reports Medicine .
