Dell was released from a hospital, according to the Texans. The team did not provide details about his injuries. “We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting in Sanford, Fla., last night,” the Texans saidSunday. “He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.
The alleged shooter was not involved in the fight and was tackled by a security guard who took away the gun, the arrest report stated. The suspect was taken to a juvenile detention center and charged with attempted homicide, firing a weapon in a public place, using a firearm during a felony and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.
A person familiar with the situation confirmed Dell was injured during the incident, describing him as a bystander. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office declined to confirm the names of the shooting victims, citing its ongoing investigation.post, Cabana Live said it is “cooperating with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for all those involved.”Dell, 24, is from Daytona Beach, Fla. The Texans selected him in the third round of last year’s NFL draft out of Houston.
