Jalen Pitre’s No. 24 jersey was retired Friday night at Stafford High School.
The Texans safety and second-round rookie was District 12-4A Defensive MVP before enrolling at Baylor.
Pitre is tied for seventh in the NFL with two interceptions. He ranks second on the Texans with 38 tackles and has recorded a sack, a forced fumble and recovered a fumble.“Huge honor. I’m thankful for the city of Stafford,” Pitre said. “I am Stafford. I love this city. Thankful for everything they’ve done for me. I’m going to continue to build off that.”
