Texans make changes to offensive line due to right guard Ed Ingram's knee injury
Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills celebrates a touchdown with teammates during the second half of an NFL football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, in Houston. – Texans starting right offensive guard Ed Ingram is out for Sunday’s football game against the Tennessee Titans due to a sprained left knee, triggering a shuffle to the right side of the offensive line.
The Texans are expected to shift Tytus Howard to right guard in his place and have former Pro Bowl lineman Trent Brown start at right tackle for the second week in a row.Although Ingram returned to practice this week, he was limited and his mobility wasn’t great as he wore a large knee brace and his leg was heavily wrapped. The Texans are set to start Jarrett Patterson at left guard again next to rookie left tackle Aireontae Ersery and center Jake Andrews. The Texans’ other inactives include quarterback C.J. Stroud and nickel Jalen Pitre under the NFL concussion protocol along with kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn , running back Dameon Pierce, wide receiver Braxton Berrios and offensive tackle Jarrett Kingston. For the Titans, star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and standout wide receiver Calvin Ridley are both active along with defensive end Arden Key.Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.Aaron Wilson is an award-winning Texans and NFL reporter for KPRC 2 and www.click2houston.com.
