Texans give C.J. Stroud cherished jersey No. 7, while other rookies forced to change

Fairbairn, the Texans kicker for the past six seasons, took No. 7 when he signed with the team in 2017. Fairbairn actually wore No. 15 at UCLA, but that number was taken by Will Fuller at the time and then used by receiver Chris Moore the past two seasons. Moore is gone, leaving No. 15 wide open for Fairbairn, if he wants it.
