SUSPENDED Negros Oriental Third District Rep. Arnolfo 'Arnie' Teves Jr. said two high-ranking government officials were involved in the 'threat' to his life.
Teves did not name any of the officials, saying he could get charged with libel.On March 22, the House of Representatives suspended Teves for 60 days 'for disorderly behavior' for not returning to the country after his travel authority lapsed on March 9.
He requested to extend the authority to April 7 but was rejected.In a virtual interview with reporters on Monday, Teves said he will come home only when he feels it is safe to do so.He has been linked to the killing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo in March. He has denied involvement in the killing.
