Tesla Supercharging Network Now Consist Of 40,000 Stalls via insideevs.com
The Tesla Superchargers, in the top V3 version, are able to charge Tesla cars at up to 250 kW . There are reports that the company is working on a higher-power version .
The Tesla Supercharging is not fully consistent in terms of charging connectors around the world. In some markets, the company was using its proprietary charging standard. In Europe, the company initially decided to use an AC Type 2-compatible connector for DC fast charging and later switched to a CCS2-compatible connector . On top of that, in China, Tesla cars are equipped with local GB/T-compatible charging inlets.
Earlier this month, Tesla announced that its proprietary charging standard used in North America and some other countries . It remains an open question whether the NACS will really become a North American standard because it would require other EV manufacturers to switch to NACS from the CCS1.
