More than 11,000 of the electric trucks are being recalled for issues with the windshield wiper motor.
The Cybertruck has some glaring problems aside from how ugly it looks. Elon Musk’s new toy has been out in the public for a little more than six months and it’s already getting its second physical recall, this time affecting more than 11,000 vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall for 11,688 Cybertruck dated June 19. What’s at fault is the truck’s windshield wiper motor as it “may stop functioning due to electrical overstress to the gate driver component.
Telsa didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about the recall. Cybertruck owners will be officially notified about the recall starting on Aug. 18. Tesla will replace the windshield wiper motors at no cost to the owners. Back in April, the Cybertruck had its first recall. A few owners noticed that the pad on the accelerator would slide off and could wedge itself at an angle to where it kept the car accelerating.
