Federal regulators have fined Elon Musk ’s Tesla Inc. nearly $7,000 for safety violations in the Cybertruck production line at its factory in Austin . Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors found the electric vehicle maker exposed four workers to hexavalent chromium, a carcinogen, multiple times without proper monitoring or training. It issued two citations, each carrying a fine of $3,457.

It said the company failed to assess the employees for exposure they received while “performing clean-up tasks at the Prima Laser.” Inspectors also cited the automaker for not adequately communicating workplace hazards on the Cybertruck production line.
