Biden joked about his adversarial relationship with the press on Wednesday, saying he was giving up "you guys" after a reporter asked him what he was giving up for Lent. The White House also recently scolded the White House Correspondent's Association for news coverage of special counsel Robert Hur's report on the president's classified documents case. Administration spokesperson Ian Sam sent the WHCAaccusing news outlets of reporting, “striking inaccuracies that misrepresent the report’s conclusion about the president.”
Sams called out CNN, CBS, the Associated Press, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times directly for reporting that the special counsel did find evidence Biden willfully retained classified documents.
