Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Namor actor Tenoch Huerta is being accused of sexual assault by saxophonist and activist María Elena Rios.

Nearly six months after his last breakout performance, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Namor actor Tenoch Huerta has been accused of sexual assault. After having starred in the likes of Sin nombre, Narcos: Mexico and The Forever Purge, Huerta found his biggest role to date in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Black Panther sequel's main antagonist, the leader of the underwater kingdom of Talokan out to take down the world, Wakanda included.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT As first reported by Mexico-based publication Reforma, Tenoch Huerta is being accused of sexual assault by saxophonist and activist María Elena Rios. Twitter user @rielfaction offered English translations of the report, and of Ríos' thread, in which she also goes on to accuse the Poder Prieto Collective of not paying her and protecting the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actor.

What We Know About Huerta's Accusations The extent of Huerta's accusations are currently unclear, with the translations fluctuating between citing the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star as a "sexual predator" and having committed sexual assault. With no English-based publications reporting on the accusations, nor representatives for the Namor actor releasing a statement on the matter, there are a lot of unknowns regarding the very serious situation.

Unfortunately for Marvel Studios, should the accusations leveled against Huerta prove to be true, this would make him the second major star of the MCU to find their future left unclear due to personal troubles. This past March saw Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's Jonathan Majors, who was primed to be the next overarching villain for the MCU akin to Josh Brolin's Thanos, arrested for an alleged assault on his romantic partner.

Marvel has remained largely quiet on Majors' MCU future, though some reports have indicated they don't intend to recast him. Given Tenoch Huerta was to be a similarly pivotal figure in the franchise after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it will be just as interesting to see what's to come of Namor's future as much as the actor's career. Screen Rant will continue to provide updates on Huerta's situation as new details emerge.
