Chinese internet giant Tencent gets a boost from releasing 10 videogames between April and June
BEIJING—Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd. reported a 35% increase in second-quarter net profit, enjoying a boost from the release of popular new videogames.
Tencent said Wednesday that its net profit for the April-June period rose to 24.1 billion yuan from 17.9 billion yuan a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet expected second-quarter net profit of 22.2 billion yuan.
