and at this point, I want to move past all the very irritating pre and post-launch controversies about Eve and her appearance and focus on the game itself, which is quite good. I have put aof time into the game, almost 100%-ing my first playthrough and now moving into New Game Plus that was just added in the past day or so. Now, I want to share some advice with you based on what I’ve learned.
– I think a lot of people are going to struggle with bosses until they understand how to actually do significant damage. There is a grey shield bar under the health bar, and so long as that is full, you are going to do way less damage to them. Normal enemies have this too but it’s way more important on bosses with huge health bars.
Why? No, I’m not that good. But I focused on really, really maxing out Eve as much as I could with skill points and upgrades before heading into the end of the game. Far and away, the best way to level Eve’s skill board up is to do side quests, where each one can give you anywhere from 1-5 skill points just from the sheer amount of XP you get from finishing them. It’s way more than just “farming” enemies for XP and was the key to my success.
