Ten abandoned newborn puppies, known as the 'Morse Road Miracle Pups', were rescued from a box on the side of Morse Road in freezing temperatures. Thanks to a Good Samaritan and the Franklin County Dog Shelter, the puppies are safe and thriving in foster care. The shelter is seeking donations to support their care and future adoption.
Ten newborn puppies, dubbed the "Morse Road Miracle Pups," were rescued after being abandoned in a box on the side of Morse Road in 19-degree temperatures, according to a Facebook post by the"They're lucky to be alive," Hannah Henschen, animal care manager at the Franklin County Dog Shelter said. "Puppies this young can't regulate their body temperature so they need a heat source.
"If you have ever taken care of newborn babies and/or a nursing mom, you know just how critical this part of our foster program truly is," the shelter said in their post online. "And after just one week in the safety of our care, these miracle pups are thriving!"
