Some might even call Sunday’s forecast high temperature HOT.
Meteorologist Nick Allard, KIRO 7 NewsSEATTLE — After recent temperatures that have been colder than average except for a few days of warm weather, things are about to heat up this week, especially this weekend. We’re off to a calm start Monday morning with temps in the upper-40s and lower-50s. A few showers are moving through now, but we are mostly dry with calm conditions.
There is an area of low pressure to our south moving into California. That low will increase our chance for a few more showers throughout the day. However, we will still see a lot of sunshine with at least partly sunny to even mostly sunny skies at times. Still, a few showers will move through here and there. Your best bet for showers will be in the Cascades along with the chance for some isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be around average for this time of year in the low to mid-60s.
On Tuesday, there will be some clouds and even a few sprinkles around for the first part of the day, but then we’ll slowly see increasing sunshine with highs in the low-60s. There will still be some mountain showers.Thursday through Sunday, warmer and drier weather is on tap as a ridge of high pressure continues to develop.
My forecast high on Saturday is 82° and the record is 85°. I have Sunday at 86° and the record is 88°.©2023 Cox Media Group
