During King Charles III's coronation service, the British public has been asked to swear allegiance to the new monarch.

Replacing the traditional Homage of Peers, the Most Reverend Justin Welby will be calling on the public in a new Homage of the People to swear their oath to our new monarch. He will ask: "All persons of goodwill in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of the other Realms and the Territories to make their homage, in heart and voice, to their undoubted King, defender of all".
